ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Historia Interiors & Consulting was founded by our Principal Interior Designer and Architectural Historian, Jacqueline Padilla-Perez. Growing up in a Navy family Jacqueline had the opportunity to live in and travel to many cities across the United States. She went from humble California farmlands to being immersed amongst the soaring skyscrapers of Chicago, the sparkling skyline of New York City, the grand Neoclassical architecture of Virginia and the colorful Streamline Moderne buildings of Florida, which all proved to be influential in forming her passion for historic architecture and design.

From a young age, Jacqueline highly excelled in creativity, art, and history, so when it came time to choose a major in college, her heart was set on becoming a designer! After graduating with honors from the accredited design program at California State University Sacramento with a degree in Interior Architecture, Jacqueline worked as an Interior Designer and a Creative Director contributing to a wide array of both commercial and residential projects. After completing many successful projects as a professional interior designer Jacqueline made the decision to further her knowledge of architectural history and pursue her passion for working with historic buildings by earning a Master’s Degree in Historic Preservation from Boston Architectural College. Jacqueline’s extensive knowledge of historic architectural styles combined with over a decade of experience as an interior designer is what gives her the ability to transform properties into beautiful spaces conducive to modern living and working environments, all while preserving the historic integrity that makes them distinguished and iconic. Recently, Jacqueline worked with two of her clients to make their prospective home the case study for her award-winning publication, A Guidebook for Renovating Your California Craftsman Bungalow which provides an easy to understand step by step design process to educate, inspire, and empower homeowners to make their renovation dreams a reality. Jacqueline lives in Long Beach with her husband, son, and three dogs where they enjoy all the beauty, fun, architecture and history that the amazing city has to offer.
