Jacqueline grew up in a Navy family and with each new city they moved to, her parents made it a priority to take her to visit the local museums, historical sites and famous buildings which rooted her passion in art, architecture and history. Although Jacqueline originally set out to be a teacher, she quickly changed majors and began her undergrad studies in architecture at Cosumnes River College, later transferring to California State University Sacramento receiving a BA in Interior Architecture. After working in the industry for a number of years on projects ranging from single family houses to a brand new high tech sports and entertainment arena, she went on to earn a master’s degree in Historic Preservation from the Boston Architectural College (BAC). With her combined degrees and well over a decade of experience in both residential and commercial projects she founded Historia Design and Consulting with the philosophy that any historic property can be modernized for the way we live and work today, all while maintaining the historic charm and embodying the wonderful personalities of those who dwell within. During her free time Jacqueline enjoys giving back to the community! She is proud to serve on the Long Beach Heritage Board of Directors, the Rotary Club of Long Beach, the St. Vincent de Paul Society and also serves on the Alumni Council for the BAC. During her down time she loves hanging out with her husband and son, reading, gardening and grooving to her favorite hip hop tunes!
